Too often women's aspirations as leaders are falling short. The numbers of those in power in large organizations is flatlining at best. Policies, programmes and pipelines are only taking us so far. It's time for a change in our approach, says Hilarie Owen.
In this book, she combines a lifetime's research in leadership with interviews of 30 high-achieving women. She opens up a series of models and patterns that women can follow to construct their own leadership journey and redefine how power is exercised.
For her, these leaders will neither be born nor made. They will create themselves. In this book, she gives a compelling and comprehensive account of how women can go about realizing their full potential as leaders and transforming the culture of their organizations.
