About the author

Luigi Caretti, MD graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Naples, where he specialised in Clinical Ophthalmology. Dr Caretti's areas of expertise includes cataract, glaucoma and vitreo-retinal surgery. He is chairman of Department of Ophthalmology at Rovigo hospital and has published numerous articles and presented at leading national and international conferences. 
Lucio Buratto, MD graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, where he specialised in Clinical Ophthalmology. Dr Buratto's areas of expertise includes cataract and refractive surgery with a particular interest in the correction of myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia. He has been honoured with a number of international and national awards for his work and has published and presented widely on these topics.
