Nanotechnology is now creating a growing sense of excitement in the life sciences especially biomedical devices and biotechnology. The development of nanoparticles ranges from 1-100 nm for the delivery of therapeutic agents, has introduced new opportunities for the improvement of medical treatment. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) can be synthesized by chemical and physical methods with a bottom up and top-down approaches respectively. However, such methods are harmful, expensive, mostly poisonous, have low production rate and not easily disposable due to environmental issues. It is therefore, researchers are working and developing to explore the new area of research to synthesize the nanoparticles such as biosynthesis of nanomaterials.
