1, 3, 5-Oxadiazine derivatives display acricidal, antibacterial, cardiovascular, miticidal and nematocidal, insecticidal, plant growth regulating, and anticonvulsive activities. In addition, oxadiazines are advantageous intermediates in the synthesis of tenidap prodrugs or beta-lactam antibiotics, carbapenems and penems. It is conveyed that Indoxacarb, an oxadiazine insecticide blocks insect neuronal sodium channels. The promising satisfying potential of oxadiazines encouraged us to synthesize novel derivatives of several 1,3,5-oxadiazines. The work has been a continuation of our work from the series of ten books as Pyrimidines, Quinazolines, Pyrimidines fused with heterocyclic rings, Novel Pyrazoles part I, Novel Pyrazoles part II and Triazolo Pyrimidines, Thiazolo pyrimidines , Triazolo Quinazolines, Thiadiazines and Triazines. The present book entitled "Oxadiazines: synthesis and biological prediction study" which comprises a brief survey of the literature taken for medicinal significance , Synthetic Approaches and Applications of oxadiazines. Chapter-2 comprises the Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Prediction Study of Oxadiazinane-4-thione derivatives.
