Herman has been active in the women's community in Akron for 20 years; she is especially devoted to the Women's Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation, one of the groups benefiting from the profits of this book and the only local grant-making entity that exclusively funds projects that benefit women and girls in Summit County, Ohio. Penny L. Fox is a native Ohioan, a freelance writer, and a business owner.
