Technical advances in medical technology today allow the performance of high-resolution whole-body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations of the body from an oncological perspective in a single examination. Whole-body MRI, as a young, future-shaping imaging technique, has therefore fundamentally changed the direction of discussions on the use of MR technology in oncological secondary prevention. Although whole-body MRI is just in the early stages of its development, the enormous medical and economic potential is already plain to see. The aim of this book is to provide a current overview of this new and multifaceted field of modern MRI radiology. Following introductory chapters on technology, the majority of the book is dedicated to clinical fields of application for whole-body MRI.
