Today, World Tourism Organization reports "a total of 1,326 million international tourist arrivals were recorded in destinations around the world, some 86 million more than in 2016" (WTO,2018). Factually, merge of relevant theoretical research with practical applications are required to overcome the challenges for tourism and education sectors. These applications have become especially necessary for small island countries like Cyprus where economical dependence on tourism and education sector as major source of income exists. Enlightened by reality, authors of the book decided to gave birth to a new study that would scrutinize the embodiment of two parent industries namely "educational tourism". Thus, "The Sociocultural Effects of Education Tourism: Case of Famagusta,Cyprus" was born through hard work and resilience of the authors in order to clarify, share and contribute to the gap in the literature.
