Fulcone enim regnante cum Latini, Gothofredo, Balduino I° ao Balduino II° ducibus, res egregio bello gessissent, in summam gloriam venerant. Tur cos etiam, quasi invicti essent, in terrorem ingen tem conjecerant; seque in perpetuum fare victores confidebant. Post autem Fulconem defunctum jam nutat civitas, et Turci prospero fortunae ¿atu postea usuri se ad Hierusalcm recuperandam parant. Quamobrem Fulco mihi dignas esse visus est qui historicorum mentes in se converteret.
