Informationen zum Autor Lee Hemmings Carlton is a horticulturist living and growing on the western side of Beech Mountain (3500' altitude) North Carolina. Lee was born and raised on a large tract of family land just along the banks of the Ochlockonee River and one of the most diverse forest ecologies in North America. Lee was raised to explore and appreciate the beauty in her surroundings. She studied plant sciences at the University of Georgia. Lee has been designing and installing plant-driven, site-specific, colorific gardens and landscapes in Georgia, Alabama and the Carolinas for two decades. She began growing cut flowers for market in 2008, and has earned the respect and business of a growing platform since. She incorporates native plants in all of her work, and is committed to their protection and advocacy. She runs a nursery, curates a cut flower garden, cares client landscapes, and creates ever-popular wreaths and floral projects for consumers. Klappentext From the mountains of Southern Appalachia, into the Piedmont Plateau and all the way down to the Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plains, native plants provide an abundance of cut flowers, foliage, fruit, and berries that add regional character to any bouquet, vase or wreath throughout the year.
