Al llegar el visitante al pié del Paseo, sea por la Alameda, sea por la calle de Agustinas, se encuen tra con una sólida reja de fierro que lo cierra por el lado de la calle de Breton.
Esa reja fué trabajada en 1873 por el mecánico inglés don Juan Tanner. Costó pesos.
