Globally, alcohol consumption results in approximately 3.3 million deaths each year including 320,000 deaths of young people aged 15-29 years. The prevalence of alcohol use in Uganda is high with an estimated 10% of the population having an alcohol use related disorder. In Gulu district, alcohol consumption among young people is high though the magnitude is not known. It was not known whether this was related to low knowledge on alcohol consumption. Therefore this studyassessed the knowledge, attitudes and practices on alcohol consumption among youths aged 15-25 years in Pece division, Gulu district.
