Der Pendelapparat fand seine Aufstellung in einem Keller hinter der Rückseite des Seraglios und der Pfeiler fiir die astronomischen Beobachtungen unmittelbar vor dem Eingange zu demselben, während die magnetischen Beobachtungen in dem unweit der Sanitätsstatinn auf der Insel ahd-ei-kadir errichteten Zelte vorgenommen wurden.
