Durgapur is a famous industrial city of West Bengal, as well as India. Industrialization is generally destroys the biodiversity of any given area, but Durgapur may be treated as an exception. Here during urbanization only such forests were destroyed which appear to be very essential at that time. The present study reveals that, even after industrialization and urbanization; at the Durgapur Government College campus there are presences of good number of biodiversity till today. This book is a generous effort to assay the faunal biodiversity of this college campus area.
