Novit, serenissime princeps [rex Cipri], Majestas Vestra quam sincero affectu non nos solum, sed majores nostri sem per coluerint clarissimos reges, majores vestros, et inclitam domum vestram. Nos vero precipue, qui non brevem vite nostre porcionem in insula vestra transegimus quique, a cele berrime memorie genitore vestre maxima beneficia couse cuti, Serenitati Vestre cun[e]ta debere iutelligimus, ut nichil sit quod illi caso alique negare possimus. Nec nobis immuta vit animam nova ducatus dignitas; immo, si privati semper annixi sumas Majestati Vestre gratificari, nunc, quando qui dem majorum rerum administratio nobis commissa est, expo dire arbitramur ut studium animi nostri rebus declaremus.
