Xaviei Leroux a fait toutes 'ses études au Conservatoire il fut un des meil leurs élèves des classes de MM. Théodore Dubois et Massenet. Il obtint un 1er prix d'harmonie et un accessit de piano en 1881 le premier prix de fugue et de contrepoint en 1884 le second grand prix de Rome la même année, et le premier grand prix l'année suivante, en 1885. M. Xavier Leroux est professeur cl harmonie au Conservatoire.
