Die Verofi'entlichung dieses zunàchst fùr den Gebrauch in der Bibliothek selbst bestimmten systematischen Katalogs wurde be schlossen in der Hofi'nung, dass er, bei allen Liicken des Bestandes, doch als bibliographisches Hùlfsmittel der Archiiologie, so lange ein vollkommeneres fehlt, niitzlich sein werde. Die Benutzer werden daher ebenso wie das Institut Herrn Professor Mau dafiir dankbar sein, dass er die Anfertigung.des Katalogs zu iibernehmen sich hat bereit finden lassen.
