Sull'uscire del 1825 stipulassi a Parigi un trat tata per cui il signor concedeva in nome del governo delle isole Sandwich agli interessati im mensi vantaggi. Prometteva, fra gli altri capitoli, parecchi capitali di benefizz'o sulle mercatanzz'e che sarebbero spedite la coltivazione di vasti terreni che diceva possedere in quelle isole, il monopolio del legno di Sandalo, principal fonte di ricchezza.
