Das Buch behandelt zunächst das ,wichtigste aus der geo metrischen Bewegungslehre der Punkte und Körper. Dann folgt die Mechanik des Massenpunktes. Wobei zur Ergänzung des im ersten Bande Gegebenen namentlich die Wirkung veränderlicher Kräfte berücksichtigt wird mit Anwendung auf elastische und ähn liche Schwingungen, planeten-bewegung, Einwirkung des Luft widerstandes u. Dgl. Hieran schliesst sich die Mechanik beliebiger Massengruppen und starrer Körper.
