About the author

Deane Madsen, Assoc. AIA, LEED Green Associate, is a former editor of Architect Magazine and a writer who covers architecture and design. He earned his M.Arch. at UCLA's Department of Architecture and Urban Design. He is the editor of Blue Crow Media's Brutalist Washington Map.
