The book gives the information of solid waste along with the solid waste management in different area of world. This book cover the solid waste management in developed countries, developing countries, Asian countries and in India. For study purpose Jetpur city is selected which is medium scale town located in Saurastra region of Gujarat. The detailed study of solid waste management of the Jetpur city has been done. The SWOT analysis for solid waste management is done for better understanding of the present SWM process. Population forecasting has been done for planning and designing of various activities. Also detailed study of physical and chemical composition of solid waste is provided. The mathematical model was developed for finding the solid waste generation rate with help of regression analysis. Some remedies has been provided for sustainable solid waste management.
