Thus it is, that people have come to regard these organs as too delicate to be treated; and not knowing whom to trust, have preferred to leave the diseases with which they are affected alone, rather than run any risk of having them made worse; hoping/ they might become better of themselves. But they are generally doomed to a sad disappointment.
