This study presents the process of Team Management in the specific context of an intercultural virtual voluntary environment. It aims to provide guidelines for managing such teams by explaining challenges and suggestion solution to these challenges. The study is based on qualitative research of SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research) which is an international NGO with independent units all over the world. Analysis of team management and project management is conducted, on the conditions of working teams which are highly diverse in terms of culture, working on a voluntary basis and operating virtually. At the end of this study, the reader will know more about matters like team motivation, leadership and project management in the context of this highly challenging environment such as working in Virtual Voluntary Teams.

About the author










Gradiola was born in Albania, where she graduated in Finance. In Austria, she finished her Master of Arts in International Business Management. She started cooperating with SIETAR (Society for Intercultural Education Training and Research) as a Project Manager for their Congresses. From 2017 she is a certified Intercultural Trainer.
