Having been engaged for some time in preparing for publication an outline of the law of equity, with a minute digest of pleading and evidence, and foreseeing that a few years must elapse before this work will be completed, I thought that I might, during its progress, annually publish a tract upon commercial law. Under the in¿u ence of this opinion this summary of the law of lien has been composed: but I find it has occupied so much time, that I must reluctantly abandon my intention, and confine myself to the work which I originally projected. This plan will, I please myself with thinking, be completed by.
