In the world as we know it today, it is essential to know more than one language. Currently there are many professionals specialized in languages, called translators. Now, translation is just one of the many specializations in learning a language. There is also another very important specialization called "interpretation". What most people do not know, is that there are many differences between them and the objective of this book is to clarify some of them and at the same time propose a continuing education program that can be implemented in a university as a complementary certification for students. Students who have already obtained their translator degree or students who meet the basic requirements to enter the program.

Karina Vera is the author of the first proposal for a specialization in Interpretation at the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil.Her proposal has been recognized and accepted among the professors of the Translation career of this university and has influenced many students to specialize in the field of Interpretation.
