The Aspects of Feng-shui covers a wide range of elements of the traditional wisdom of feng-shui. From the beginning of the art where it developed over 2000 years ago, to the development and evolution over the course of history, and to practical uses of the knowledge in our present-day life, this book is informative and yet entertaining for those readers who want to know the background of feng-shui.
The first half of the book focuses on classical theory and historical references, whereas the latter part emphasises the common practices in everyday life. The book has 99 articles in a total of nine chapters.
About the author
Cyril S. Yuen is a prominent figure in feng-shui, he is also a consultant for a transnational architecture firm where he applies feng-shui techniques to help optimize contemporary architectural designs. He learned the art of feng-shui and I-Ching name analysis (a form of Chinese anthroponymy) from several notable experts. His other book, The Aspects of Feng-Shui, gives a comprehensive analysis of the feng-shui culture and its influence in the Western world.
Having graduated with an engineering degree from McGill University in Canada, Cyril also obtained the Diploma in Translation from the Chartered Institute of Linguistics in the UK. His articles are easy to understand, and they blend seamlessly into Chinese and Western cultures.
