About the author

Ritsert C. Jansen is Professor of Bioinformatics and 'Dean of Talent Development' at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, The Netherlands. He aims to help his early-career colleagues by sharing his own experiences as a researcher. He wrote the book Developing a Talent for Science (Cambridge, 2011) about the life of modern scientists in today's academic environment. He subsequently published his book Funding your career in Science (Cambridge, 2013) about how to attain research grants. This third book Leading Your Research Team in Science completes the trilogy.
