"Playing all sides against the middle is a dangerous game when there are demons in the mix. Nobody knows that better than Eddie, but he's got a special gift to help him through: his deaths are temporary, provided someone living touches his corpse. Then, just like that, he's alive, they're dead, and the world keeps turning. It helps him get by...but it seems his gift--and the demonic crime families he deals with--may have reached a breaking point. When Eddie makes a move to find his mother in the afterlife, pursuing a promise he made her, his brother Morgan finds himself in the middle. While Morgan does everything he can to keep Eddie's body safe for his eventual return, one of the most infernal crime bosses in the city works against them, detemined to make sure Eddie stays dead this time around."--Back cover.
