Einige Monate spater hielt ich, mit derselben Uhr in der Tasche, mit meinem Pferde an, um eine Anzahl Compass peilungen zu machen, als plötzlich ein Reiter, von hinten kommend, mich in gestrecktem Ga10pp passirte. Mein Pferd liess sich nicht halten, und folgte in gleicher Gangart. Die Uhr blieb stehen, und war von diesem Augenblick an nicht mehr zuverlässig.
