study the present status of electronic procurement in bangladesh water development board and finding major challenges to implement e-gp in bwdb were the main objectives of this dissertation. the book demonstrates different issues of procurement, different use of ict in procurement, such as e-purchasing, e-catalog, e-tendering, e-auction, e-marketplace. it also illustrates challenges to implement electronic government procurement system in public sector. most of the respondents think, e-GP will reduce undue pressure in procurement, will be transparent, efficient, time saving, fair, economic, corruption free and will help to build digital Bangladesh.
About the author
He is a Member of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (www.CIPS.org) of UK. He completed graduation in Engineering from BIT, Rajshahi and Masters in Procurement and Supply Management from BRAC University of Bangladesh. He works as Procurement Specialist in different public sector projects in collaboration of World Bank, ADB, JICA etc.
