PCOS is the most common endocrine disease among women of reproductive age and the prevalence of PCOS is 5%-15% based on diagnostic criteria that associated with reproductive and metabolic disorders, and is the most common cause of infertility in young women. PCOS is characterized with insulin resistance, impairment of beta cells function, impaired glucose tolerance, type II diabetes, excessive androgen secretion, dyslipidemia and visceral obesity. Since PCOS with increasing age can be associated with a lot of risk factors such as infertility, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, endometrial, ovaries and breast cancer for this reason the identification of this disease, especially in adolescent girls is necessary to prevent the progression of it.
