Arrivés à Yokohama et à Yedo, nous nous mîmes, par curiosité et sans intention arrêtée, à visiter les boutiques et à acheter des bibelots. Au bout de quelques jours, les objets réunis fournirent surtout un groupe de bronzes d'une belle patine, qui frappaient agréablement les yeux. L'idée vint alors à M. Cernusehi d'exploiter à fond cette mine imprévue et c'est ainsi que, comme par hasard, il fut mis sur une voie qui, suivie avec persévérance et en grand a donné le musée Cernusehi du parc Monceau.
