L' amore del bello regna ancora in Piacenza e nel Clero Il Capitolo adunque antivenne l' irreparabile danno: ei consulta il Viganoni cui affida la gelòsa cura di ristorarlo. Questi ne assume l' ardua impre sa e tanta v' impiega diligenza che la mena a perfezione. Tu l' avresti veduto da mane a sera tut to e solo in ciò occupato ed immerso. Con gesso preparato all' uopo con chiodi d' ottone di ampla testa con fino accorgimento gli riuscì di assicurare al muro l'intonaco già smosso senza che nulla ve nisse a soffrirne il dipinto.
