Ces débats avec les élèves furent sans doute la cause princi pale pour laquelle Bach se refusa toujours, par la suite, a leur faire exécuter des oeuvres de musique. Le 11 novembre 1706, le consistoire se plaignit encore de ce manquement de Bach à ce qu 'il était tenu d' accomplir. Le même jour, on lui demanda aussi pourquoi il s'était permis d'introduire, à la tribune de l'orgue, une jeune fille étrangère.
