The present study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of a proposed program in developing fourth year primary students' environmental literacy .The problem of the study was stated in the question: How can English stories develop environmental literacy for fourth year primary students? An Environmental literacy and vocabulary tests were developed by the researcher and used as pre-post measures .The purpose of the tests was to identify students' level on environmental literacy and vocabulary related to environmental issues. A proposed program consisting of three stories was developed by the researcher. By the end of the experiment ,post tests were administered to determine the effectiveness of the program.
