"My heart is blue, what color is your house?" my son, Monterio, asked me one night. I looked at him puzzled. He said, "I have a blue house because it is my favorite color. I think your heart is green."
I focused on him. "Monterio, what do you mean?"
His big brown eyes widened, and he said simply, "Jesus lives in our hearts. So our hearts are like houses for Jesus." And so My Heart Is a House was born.
