Excerpt from The Third Book Of St. Irenaeus, Bishop Of Lyons, Against Heresies: With Short Notes, And a Glossary

The following pages consist of a reprint of the Benedictine text of the Third Book of St. Irenaeus against Heresies, of a collation of the text with that contained in the Works of St. Irenaeus edited by the Rev. W. W. Harvey, ma., of King's College, Cambridge, of a few notes, and of a glossary of some of the principal words used by St. Irenaeus in a different sense from the ordinary. The work has been undertaken for the convenience of students for the Theological School at Oxford, and does not pretend to any originality.
