Distinguo col nome di a: laevigatus rn: un 8 di Carlen tini in cui mancano del tutto i punti sul protorace mentre sulle elitre essi sono tante piccoli da potersi vedere solamente cei più forti ingrandimenti; sul capo invece esistono punti di grandezza normale, ma pochi e solo nella parte anteriore e laterale. Se non erro, altre esemplare simile proveniente da Bari esiste nella collezione del Museo di Berlino.
