Queste discordanze potrebbero anche mettere in dubbio che i due sonetti siano fra loro in tenzone, se essi non fossero indissolubilmente legati; oltre che dal contenuto, anche dalla vicinanza nel ms., ove hanno i nn. 331 e 332, e dalla rubrica tenzone ll che sta in cima al primo dei due componimenti. Ma la difficoltà resta e va spiegata.
