My story of divorce is actually of the many stories that are extremely prevalent normally divorce happens of different reasons among others, sexual abuse, impotent and regular fights but to Okwono and Okwasi divorce is based on their culture beliefs. The anger Okwasi felt was based on someone else's behavior, a behavior which, in her case, could not be changed. When she accepted the impossibility of the situation, the anger went away. Anger in its many forms, irritation, frustration, resentment, even impatience in certain situations can be a creative force. It can stimulate us to confront unpleasant experience. It can motivate us to action. But it also can be a way to hide from something we would rather not face. For example, if a Okwasi can blame his spouse for the break up of their marriage, and nurse the anger that accompanies that judgement, he doesn't have to consider any new evidence or carry the investigation further. He doesn't have to take the risk that by examining the facts at hand objectively, he might find he's partly to blame for the break up of the marriage. So the anger marks the threat to his self image.
