Die Stellung des attributiven Adjektivs im Französischen ist seit langer Zeit Gegenstand zahlreicher Untersuchungen gewesen. Die Be handlung der Frage bewegte sich nicht immer in derselben Richtung. In einer älteren Periode der Forschung nahm man den Ein¿uss mennig faltiger äusserer und innerer Faktoren auf die Stellung des Adjektivs an; in einer jüngeren Periode suchte man alle Erscheinungen einheitlich aus einem und demselben psychologischen Motiv zu erklären.
