Die eadwine-glosse 1) nimmt unter sämtlichen ae. Psalter Glossen eine Sonderstellung ein, wie ja auch Lindelöf (a. A. O., p. 123) zum Teil erkannt hat. Sie ist die bei weitem älteste und trägt ein durch Wortschatz und vor allem Glossierungsart durchaus eigenartiges, von allen anderen grundverschiedenes Gepräge.
