Vicenza ebbe ancora chi ne illus-tro, e dottamente, le sue Latine antiche Iscrizioni, ed ella ne -riporto giovamento sommo, ma è que st' opera di quando in quando a rinfrescarsi non solo per l' aumento dei marmi non illustrati; che si vanno scoprendo, ma eziandio perchè con essi -moltiplica=ndosi i confronti, crescono le cognizioni archeologiche, onde si accertano le dubbie lezioni, le oscure si stenebrano.'
