Excerpt from Sprachliche und Textkritische Untersuchungen zum Altspanischen Libro De Alexandre
Das Gedicht wurde zum erstenmal herausgegeben auf Grund der jetzt in Madrid in der Biblioteca Nacional befindlichen Hs. 0 (aus dem Nachlaß des Herzogs von Osuna) von Sanchez in seiner Colleccion de poesias castellanas anteriores al siglo decimo quinto 1782, nach Einsicht in die Hs. Wiedergedruckt und verbessert von Jauer 1864, in Bd. LVII der Biblioteca de autores espaüoles von Rivadaneyra (letzte Ausgabe 1905) veröffentlicht. Da die Neuausgabe von Janer nicht mit der wissenschaftlich erforder lichen Sorgfalt ausgeführt ist (s. Morel - Fatio, Einleit. Zu P, S. VII), ist die Glaubwürdigkeit der Belege in 0 nicht immer gesichert. Eine nähere Beschreibung von 0 findet man im Vor wort zum Libro in der Ausgabe von Sanchez, und von More] Fatio zugleich mit den noch erhaltenen Fragmenten B (bivar).
