Wenn es sich darum handelt, die mechanischen Grundlagen des Flugzeugbaues zu behandeln, so kann das ohne Aufwendung eines gewissen mathematischen Apparates nicht geschehen, weil die sich ergebenden mechanischen Probleme nur mit Hilfe mathematischer Entwickelungen einer Lösung zugeführt werden können. Es ist unvermeidlich, dass sich dabei auch Lösungen ergeben werden, die nicht ohne Weiteres in eine einfache Formel zu bringen sind, womit dann der Vorwurf im ersten Augenblick berechtigt scheint, dass solche Entwickelungen nicht für die Praxis taugen.
