Nel nostro caso, volendo studiare l'istituto del divorzio nella storia del diritto romano, sarebbe senza dubbio utilissimo che noi ci rendessimo conto delle idee e delle credenze religiose prero mane, per avere un concetto del diritto preromano, dal quale molti schiarimenti ci verrebbero per le nostre indagini. Nondimeno ci è impossibile procedere a tale studio, dirò cosi d' introduzione, chè molto lontano ci porterebbe dai limiti imposti al presente lavoro.
