On arriveà ce résultat, grâce au calcul qui fait compter double les années de campagne devant l'ennemi. Ludovic H alévy pourrait, lui aussi, écrire: quarante-neuf ans d'âge, et quarante-deux ans de théâtre, sans avoir besoin pour cela de compter les années doubles. Ses souvenirs de théâtre se perdent, en effet, dans le brouillard de ses souvenirs d'enfance.
