Watermarking is the process of embedding data into a multimedia element such as an image, audio or video file for the purpose of authentication. A watermarking algorithm consists of the watermark structure, an embedding algorithm, and an extraction or detection algorithm. A new watermarking scheme for images based on Human Visual System (HVS) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) in the wavelet domain is proposed, which has some virtues as follows: Owing to Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT), the scheme has good robustness, especially for JPEG compression. The algorithm uses the HVS characteristics, to decrease the visual distortion of the watermarked images. This book explains about the hybrid digital image watermarking algorithm for digital images.
