Writing as I have done from recollection. And not from records, it will be noticed that I have not followed strictly the order of time, but have frequently allowed an event to introduce another of a similar or kindred character. Although happening at a distance of some years. Sometimes I have gone along with the current of time, and at other times I have been in¿uenced more by the relation of subject than by proximity of time. Any disadvantage arising from this method of procedure will I hope be minimised by the Index.
