This book is on a Nationwide Stakeholders' Need Assessment conducted with the objective of launching a PhD in Library and Information Science and two Masters Degrees programs in Records, Archives and Museum Management; as well as Information and Knowledge Management in Department of Information Science at Haramaya University, Ethiopia. A cross-sectional survey; using four categories of questionnaires on a representative sample population of respondents; clustered according to ministries, agencies, universities (public and private) and associations was conducted. 165 representative categories of sample respondents were selected purposively; using a "Decision Tree" sampling technique. Results revealed 98.9% Stakeholders favoured the launching of the programs; with nomenclatures of "PhD in Library and Information Science"; "Masters in Records Management" and "Masters in Information and Knowledge Management". Knowledge and skills needed for the graduates include: Legal and Policy Issues for Information Professionals; Information Policy Analysis and Design; etc. The basic requirement to address market needs is course content, library and computer laboratory and learning resources.

L. A. Gojeh (PhD) studied Library and Information Science at Ahmadu Bello Univ., Nigeria. He is an academic, educationist, Deputy Director and Pioneer Librarian of National Commission for Colleges of Education. T. S. Shibeshi (MSc.) received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in 2010 and 2014 from the Dep. of Information Science, the Univ. of Jimma, Ethiopia.
