Quando nell' Annuario del 1868 stavamo facendo la enumerazione di undici asteroidi scoperti in quell'anno, ancora non era giunta in Europa la notizia, che un dodicesimo asteroide era stato scoperto da Pogson, astro uomo di Madras, il 17 novembre 1868. Appariva allora presso E dei Pesci sotto l'aspetto di una piccola stella di 12° grandezza, e dallo scopritore fu denominato Camilla. Di questo pianeta non giunsero finora notizia degli astronomi Europei che poche osservazioni, non ancora sufficienti per offrire una base sicura al calcolo dell'orbita.
Due soli pianeti furono scoperti nel corso dell'anno 1869.
